When you use the Windows Driver Tool to create a printer driver (see The Windows Driver Tool) you create an option file and a driver file. To add the new printer driver to the device driver repository, you must use the Device Tool. In the Device Tool you create a new device driver, and then you add the option file and driver file to the new driver.
2 Click Create New.
3 In Logical (internal) name, enter the name of the driver as specified in the corresponding driver file.
4 In Default display name, enter the name you want to have displayed in the Design Center GUI.
5 In the Device driver files area, click New. The Enter name dialog box opens.
6 Enter the name of the Windows printer driver file and click OK. The driver file is added to the list.
7 Check and select the new driver file and click Import Content.
9 In the Device options area, click Create From File, browse to the options file for the Windows printer driver, and click Open.
