Duplicating a device driver

1	Start the Device Tool.

2	From the Selected device drop-down list, select the device driver you want to modify. The device driver is loaded into the Device Tool.

3	Click Duplicate and configure the new device driver. See Device Tool GUI reference.

4	Select File > Save to update the repository with the new data.

Scenario for duplicating a device driver.

You want to modify a specific device driver, but you cannot do so because it is a native device driver. Instead you duplicate the device driver, and then modify and save the duplicate.
