Importing a package file

You can import device drivers to the repository via the Device Tool. The device drivers must in this case be packaged as StreamServe Device Package files (*.sdp).

To import a driver

1	Start the Device Tool.

2	Click Import, browse to the package file, and select Open. The device driver is loaded into the Device Tool.

3	Select File > Save to update the repository with the new data.

Scenario for importing a package file.

Mr. X has used another Device Tool, connected to another repository, to create a new device driver. He can export this device driver (see Exporting a device driver to file) and email it to you. You can then import the device driver to your repository.
