You can create a new embedded Fragment in your document, that you can edit and add alternative page definitions to. These page definitions can then be selected during design and runtime. When you insert a new Fragment, you must specify the type of Fragment to create. The available options are the same as when re-using a Fragment, but in addition, you have access to two predefined templates of the Content Dependent type:
• Page Number – For page numbering. You can also use a Substitution of Field type. See Adding page numbers.
• Page of Pages – To be used typically in a page header where the total number of pages depends on the dynamic content of the document. In this case, the total number of pages that are rendered depends on input data (for example length of Stories) which varies for each document instance.
1 Right-click in the Document view and select Insert > New Fragment and the type of Fragment to create, for example Dynamic.
