Re-using design elements across documents
By using Fragments in your document, you can include previously created design elements. For example, overlays, address definitions etc. stored as resources in a resource set.
You can:

When you reference a Fragment from your Document, and that Fragment contains a Section, the Section will not be registered in the Document Template exported to Composition Center.
Just as any other StoryTeller document, an SSD file used for Fragments can contain several page definitions, as well as Stories that can flow between Story frames within the Fragment.
Only one page definition of the SSD file can be used at a time as a Fragment, where you specify the page to use. Both the URI to the StoryTeller document resource and the Fragment page definition can be dynamically selected in runtime. See Selecting Fragments dynamically.
If you do not specify page, the first page in the page list is used.
You can edit embedded Fragments. If the embedded Fragment is an SSD file with more than one page definition, all page definitions in the document are listed with their content in the Fragment Pages panel. If the SSD file contains Stories, they are listed in the Fragment Stories panel.
Note:
You can also re-use Stories in other StoryTeller documents by adding a substitution that references a Story. References can be static or dynamic. See Adding external content.
