By default, a single first or last line in a paragraph can be rendered within a Story frame. A single first line is called an orphan and a single last line is called a widow. You can change the default behavior and specify that two or more lines should be kept together within the paragraph, both for the beginning and end of the paragraph, or specify that the whole paragraph must be kept in the same Story frame.
Note: If the settings you specify for keeping lines together within the paragraph, and for keeping with lines in next paragraph, means that the paragraph(s) do not fit within the Story frame, the settings are ignored and the lines are rendered where they fit.
2 In the Properties panel Paragraph Style category section, set Keep lines together to Widows/Orphans.
3 Specify Keep start lines together for the number of lines that should be kept together in the bottom of a Story frame.
4 Specify Keep end lines together for the number of lines that should be kept together in the top of a Story frame.
