Adding special characters

You can insert special characters in text, e.g. the copyright sign or a non-breaking space (also known as hard space)

To insert a special character

1	Place the cursor in a text to activate the text cursor (caret).

2	Select Insert > Special Characters. The Special Characters dialog opens.

3	Select a character from the list and click Insert.

Note:

Shortcuts to the characters are listed in the dialog.

To insert a special character in an input field in the Properties panel, you can: 1 Press the Alt key and enter the Unicode number on the numeric keypad. For example 0160 for a non-breaking space. 2 Release the Alt key To add a special character to an XML configuration file, for example the textformats.xml for adding custom format masks, you must enter &#<unicode nr>; For example, &#160; for a non-breaking space.
