Adding a connection profile to a Media Management repository

If you run StoryTeller stand-alone, i.e you start it independently of Design Center, you must manually add a connection profile to the StoryTeller installation.

The following procedure is one way of achieving a connection to the Media Management repository.

To connect to a Media Management repository from stand-alone StoryTeller

1	Export a Design Center Project which has a connection profile to the Media Management server. The connection profile must be stored in a resource set connected to a platform.

2	Unpack the export file using e.g. 7-zip.

3	Unpack the unpacked export file.

4	Browse to the \data\profile_configuration folder.

5	Copy the profile configuration file. If you have not renamed the profile in the Design Center resource set, it is called New Profile Configuration.xml.

6	Browse to <StreamServe installation> \Services\StoryTeller\<version>\bin\

7	Create a folder named securityprofiles

8	Paste the profile configuration file in the \securityprofiles folder.

Note:

Make sure that the configuration file name has a .xml extension. If not, add it.

9	If already open, restart StoryTeller.
