Automatically mapping of document types and metadata with Automap
When you use Automap, Control Center uses object names to map document types to document models and metadata to properties.
Automap attempts to map all document types and metadata in the application domains linked to the ELS connection profile.
Note:
When you click OK to close the Document Type and Metadata Mapping dialog box, the affected StreamServe applications start using your mapping immediately. If you do not want the applications to start using your mapping, you can save your changes as an XML file. This is useful if you want to continue mapping the document types and metadata at a later stage, make a backup of your mapping, or want to import your mapping to another site.
To automatically map the document types and metadata
1
On the Repositories node, right-click the ELS repository connection, and then click Document Type Mapping.
2
Click File > Automap All.
3
Click OK, which deploys your mapping to the affected StreamServe applications.
Click File > Save As, which saves your mapping as an XML file.
