Customizing values and units

To customize the values in the Resource spacing drop-down lists you edit a property file. In this property file, you can also change the units. For example, if you want to use inches instead of centimeters.

The file is named resource.properties and is located in the following directory:

<TOMCAT_HOME>\webapps\<Portal name>\WEB-INF\spring\properties

You can customize the following properties in the file:

•	resource.spacing.unit

•	resource.spacing.values

•	resource.indent.unit

•	resource.indent.values

When you upgrade or install hot fixes, the resource.properties file is overwritten. If you have modified content in the file, you must store a backup copy of the file before upgrading or installing hotfixes.

To customize values and units

1	Open the resource.properties file in a text editor.

2	Edit the spacing or indent properties.

3	Save the changes and restart the Java application server to apply the changes.
