Document types and metadata

In Composer metadata is used to personalize texts. Metadata is also used as conditions for rules and as sample data when previewing documents.

In your Project, you must configure document types and their associated metadata. For more information, see Document metadata in Composer.

Areas

Areas define positions on the output documents where texts and images can be imported. See Areas for information on how to configure areas in your Project.

Document previewing

In Composer, users can preview output documents with imported texts and images. To enable previewing from Composer you must:

•	Create sample files to use when previewing documents.

•	Configure a StreamServer application that handles document preview.
