Data used with interactive objects
The data template contain nodes where each node represents the data available for a layout object.
You can use Message data defined in the Event to initialize the data template. This data associated with the layout objects can for example be pre-filled values set in runtime and available to the end-user in text objects, or in drop-down lists. To use Message data for your interactive objects, the data must be transformed into data template format. For more information, see Data templates and transformations.
Because the interactive layout objects are linked to the data template nodes via XPath, it is recommended to create the data template node structure first, and then use these nodes to add the interactive layout objects. This will cause less problems when you e.g. rename data template nodes or restructure them.
