Creating new database connections

You must create a connection to each repository you want to administer from Database Administration Tool. You can either create a connection from scratch, or duplicate and edit an existing connection.

To create a new connection from scratch

1	In the database login dialog box, click New. The New connection dialog box opens.

2	Select the appropriate DB vendor (SQL Server or Oracle).

3	Specify the connection settings (see New/Edit connection dialog box) and click OK.

To duplicate a connection

1	In the database login dialog box, select the connection you want to duplicate and click Duplicate. The New connection dialog box opens.

2	Edit the connection settings (see New/Edit connection dialog box) and click OK.
