Running Database Administration Tool

When you start Database Administration Tool, you must log on to a database (runtime repository, enterprise repository, etc.). You cannot connect Database Administration Tool to several databases simultaneously, but you can at any time change database connection without having to exit Database Administration Tool.

To start Database Administration Tool

1	From Windows Start menu, select All Programs > OpenText > StreamServe > Utilities > Database Administration Tool. The Database Administration Tool Login dialog box opens.

2	Select a connection to connect to the appropriate database, or create a new connection (see Creating new database connections).

3	Enter the Login credentials and click Login. Database Administration Tool opens connected to the selected database.

To change database connection

1	In Database Administration Tool, click Change. The Database Administration Tool Login dialog box opens.

2	Select a connection to connect to the appropriate database, or create a new connection (see Creating new database connections).

3	Enter the Login credentials and click Login. Database Administration Tool is connected to the selected database.

Launching Database Administration Tool from Control Center

You can launch Database Administration Tool from Control Center.

Repository	To launch DBAT connected to the repository
Runtime	Right-click the application domain node and select Launch Database Administration Tool.
Web content	Right-click the StreamStudio portal node and select Launch Database Administration Tool.
