Modifications and template versions

The type of modification done to the Composition Center-enabled Process decides whether the template version is increased.

StoryTeller modifications affecting the template

The following modifications result in an increased template version:

•	Adding a section.

•	Deleting a section.

•	Renaming a section.

•	Moving a section to another page.

•	Modifying the size of the section placeholder (that is, a StoryTeller text object or a story frame).

•	Modifying the size of a page.

•	Adding or removing pages from the document.

•	Adding or deleting an exposed story.

Template Engine modifications affecting the template

The following modifications result in an increased template version:

•	Adding a section

•	Deleting a section.

•	Changing the order of the sections.

•	Editing a section (changing section name or description).

PageOUT modifications affecting the template

The following modifications result in an increased template version:

•	Adding a section

•	Deleting a section.

•	Renaming a section.

Modifications not affecting the template

The following modifications do not result in an increased template version:

•	Updating the Composition Center-enabled Process in a way that does not affect the actual template. For example, updating a text in the StoryTeller document or adding a new field from the Event configuration.

•	Deleting, renaming, or adding fields in the Event configuration.

If you delete or rename a field that is already used in StoryTeller, you must open and update the StoryTeller document accordingly. If not, the output documents will be corrupt.

Exception - If you concatenate several Events, you cannot do any Event changes without creating a new version of the Project and thereby increase the template versions of all included Composition Center-enabled Processes.
