Creating output connectors for test sending emails (optional)
In Composition Center, the business user can send examples of possible emails to different accounts to verify that the emails are correctly rendered by the email clients. As a developer, you can use the Composition Center test send functionality to identify potential display issues in different email clients, allowing you to account for those issues in your Project design. For example, by adding textual messages to the template.
To enable test sending of emails, you must make sure there is an output connector for test sending available. If you want to use the same connector configuration and driver settings for test sending emails and for the final delivery, you can reuse the delivery output connector. As an alternative, you can create a dedicated connector for test sending emails.
The test send connector must have the following configuration:
Output connector type – SMTP (MIME) or EasyLink Email
Driver – HTML unpaginated
You can test send emails from different accounts depending on a variable value. You must then first add output connectors for the accounts, and then use a script to select the output connector to be used. See Selecting output connector for test sending emails (optional).
