Preparing document previews

When creating a new document definition in Composition Center, the business user can view the selected template that the document definition will be based upon (not available for Template Engine templates).

When designing a document definition, the business user can preview examples of the final documents. The following preview formats are available:

•	Print - For paginated preview. Note that this preview format does not work for document definitions that are based on Template Engine templates.

•	Email - For unpaginated preview of possible HTML email bodies.

•	Web - For unpaginated preview, for example of possible of HTML or XML output. The preview format is always displayed as HTML.

The required preparations for the previews are described in this section.

Configuration steps

1	Create preview output connectors manually (optional). See Creating output connectors for document previews (optional).

2	Create an output connector for test sending emails (optional). See Creating output connectors for test sending emails (optional).

3	Enable email capabilities in Composition Center. See Enabling email capabilities in Composition Center.

4	Add the sample files used to simulate input data. See Adding sample files.
