Merging and splitting table cells in the same row
You can merge cells in the same row and move the contents to the merged cell. You can also restore merged cells by splitting them.
Note:
Example 3
In this example, three cells containing D, E and F are merged into one cell.

In this example, the three cells merged in previous example above are split.
showing that when the content of the merged cells is split, it ends up in the leftmost cell.
 
To merge cells in the same row

Click the Merge table cells icon . The Merge table cells dialog box opens.

In the Cols field, enter the number of cells to merge.

Click Update.
To restore table cells that have been merged

Click the Split merged table cells icon .
