Packing sites and application domains > Exporting additional files to a package

Exporting additional files to a package
In addition to the default resources in a package (see What is included in a package file?), you can export files inside the working directories of the applications to the package file. For example, if you are going to clone an application domain, you might need to include the license files for the StreamServer applications in the package. You specify each file or set of files (using wildcards) to export as an item in the Export Configuration dialog box in Control Center. See Creating an export item for instructions about how to create an export item.
Always defined at site level
The export configuration, i.e. the configuration of which files to export, is always defined at site level. This means this configuration applies when you pack a site as well as when you pack application domains in the same site.
Selecting files
When you select files to export, you can select a specific file or use wildcards. Wildcards are implemented for files (e.g. *.lic) as well as for folders. For example, you can select a folder including all files and sub-folders by using <folder>\* or just <folder>.
Each file selection is applied to all applications of all application types you enable for the file selection (see below). For example, if the site contains two StreamServer applications (strsA and strsB) and you select a file in the working directory of strsA, this file selection is also applied to strsB (relative to the working directory of strsB).
Application types
For each item in the export configuration (specific file or several files specified by wildcards) you must specify which applications to apply the export to:
For example, if you enable all application types and select a file in the working directory of strsA, this file selection is also applied to all applications of all application types (relative to the working directory of each application).
Import and migrate options
For each item in the export configuration you must specify when to use the file:
