How to pack application domains

To pack an application domain (Composition Center not included)

1	In Control Center, right-click the application domain node and select Pack Application Domain. The Pack Application Domain dialog box opens.

2	In Create package file in, specify the path to the package file and click Export.

Packing domains that include Composition Center

When you pack an application domain that includes Composition Center, you can select to export all Composition Center resources, rules, permissions etc. in the runtime repository to a zip file. Depending on the amount of data to export, this may take some time. The path to the zip file is:

<ManagementGatewayRoot>\etc\dbexport\<domainName>-<timeStamp>.zip

Exporting Composition Center resources separately

If you want to export the Composition Center resources etc. manually after you have packed the application domain you can run DBAT in EXPORT mode. See Command line interface for migration in the Database Administration Tool user guide for information.

To pack an application domain

1	In Control Center, right-click the application domain node and select Pack Application Domain. The Pack Application Domain dialog box opens.

2	If you want to export Composition Center resources, select Post action.

3	In Create package file in, specify the path to the package file and click Export.
