On the left side of the dialog there is a specialized Story View displaying the design of the Table of Contents. You can set indents and tabs as in the ordinary Story View.
Adds a level to the Table of Contents. In the view area, you can select a level and set its properties in the property grid area on the right side of the dialog.
The number of levels added to the ToC (not editable here). The actual number of levels in the rendered Toc in Word depends on the Outline level you have specified for the paragraphs you want to be included in the ToC. (They must be set to Level 1 or higher).
If Show page numbers is selected, you can specify to align page numbers in the Table of Contents generated in Word. This means the page numbers are separated from the headings with a tab command. If you de-select this option, a space character is generated instead of the tab command.
Specify to generate hyperlinks from the Table of Contents entries to the referenced content. If you de-select this option, the Table of Contents entries will be in plain text.
Note:
Web Layout view in Word will not display page numbers when this option is selected.
Note:
If you do not define a tab definition for the paragraph, Word will create a right tab at the right indent position, with a dotted leader.
