Paragraph style properties

Note:
Relative – Sets the line spacing relative to the line spacing defined by the font. For example, if the line spacing defined for the font is 12 points, and you specify Linespacing 2, the line spacing will be 24 points.
Multiple – Sets the line spacing defined by the font rounded up to multiple of value specified for the Linespacing property. For example, if the line spacing defined for the font is 12 points, and you specify Linespacing 8 points, the line spacing will be 16 points because that is the nearest multiple of 8. This can be useful to get a better control of the line spacing e.g. if you use zebra patterned paper.
Value – Sets the line spacing to the value in points specified in Linespacing property.
At least – Sets the line spacing to a minimum value that is needed to fit the largest font or graphic on the line. If the value you specify for Linespacing is higher than that minimum value, that value you specify is used.
An index that is used for a set of numbered paragraphs. This is by default n for all numbered paragraphs in a Story or text object. If you want to start numbering from the beginning in a subsequent set of numbered paragraphs within the Story or text object, you must either:
Set the Start at value to 0 on the first paragraph in the new set of paragraphs.
%n – body level numbering
!1. – decimal numbers followed by a dot
The default tab according to the Tab - default indentation property. See Paragraph style properties. You can remove the tab character or change the dot to some other character.
You can also use outlined numbering by specifying %N as a prefix instead of %n, where N is the level for the selected paragraph.
!r – small roman numbers
!R – big roman numbers
!a – small alphabetic letters
!A – capital alphabetic letters
If you specify no format, !1 is used, that is without the dot included in the default numbering value.
\t – the tab character which gives a default tab stop according to the Tab - default indentation property. See Paragraph style properties. You can remove the tab character or change the middle dot to some other character by for example copying it from the Windows character map.
You can enter a value followed by an optional unit, for example mm. The value is transformed to the default unit setting for Measurements, see Options dialog.
Where it fits – Follows immediately after the previous paragraph.
In next Story frame – Starts in beginning of the next Story frame related to the story. If the paragraph is the first in the Story, the paragraph will start in the first Story frame related to the Story.
None – No lines are kept together within the paragraph, i.e. a single line of a paragraph can be rendered at the top or bottom of a Story frame
Widows/Orphans – Sets the Keep start lines together option to 2 (Widows) and the Keep end lines together option to 2 (Orphans).
All – Sets the Keep start lines together and Keep last lines together to All lines which means that the whole paragraph is rendered within a Story frame.
Note:
You can set the default behavior for Keep lines together in the Tools > Options dialog, in the Defaults > Paragraph settings.
Controls the minimum number of lines that will be kept together in the beginning of a paragraph. For example by specifying 3, at least three lines of the beginning of the paragraph will be kept together within a Story frame.
Controls the minimum number of lines that will be kept together in the end of a paragraph. For example by specifying 3, at least three lines of the end of the paragraph will be kept together within a Story frame.
Note:
You can set the default behavior for this option in the Tools > Options dialog, in the Defaults > Paragraph settings.
None – Use for languages not requiring bi-directional text or shaping.
Simple – Enables bi-directional text within the same paragraph and shaping of Arabic glyphs.
Complex – Enables bi-directional text within the same paragraph and shaping of Arabic and Indic glyphs.
Note:
You can set the default behavior for this option in the Tools > Options dialog, in the Defaults > Paragraph settings.
