Data properties
 
Data source – Evaluates an XPath expression and returns the result. For example, the XPath to a Message field.
Repository – Links to a file of RTF, LXF and XHTML format. The linked contents is reloaded for every instance of the output. See Adding external content.
Field – Page number or Number of pages. (The latter should only be used in Content Dependent Fragments).
SubTotal – Sums the values of a specific previously rendered and repeated field. (Should only be used in table overflow headers and footers).
External Content – Links to a Story in another StoryTeller document, or to a file of RTF, LXF and XHTML format. See Adding external content.
Translation – Searches for a value according to current language and the key you have specified, in the translation tables you have specified for the Process. Language is specified in the Character properties for the substitution. To use the processing language, the Language property must be set to Default.
Metadata – Links to a metadata name defined for a Document Type. This is useful:
Raw – Text is rendered as it is.
Rich – A filter is applied that enables rich text for the contents of the substitution.
Paragraph – Each instance is rendered on a separate paragraph.
Inline – Instances are rendered inline with adjacent text.
