Design-time scripting

You can import Python script libraries that you can use to:

•	Make repetitive design procedures faster.

•	Do things that are not possible with the graphical user interface only.

Note:

To run Python scripts, you must install a release of Python 2.6, preferably the latest 2.6 release available.

Location of Python libraries

The Python libraries are by default located in the following folder:

<StreamServe installation>\Services\StoryTeller\<version>\py

This is also where you can store new libraries that you add.

If you store your libraries in another location you must modify the import path in the StoryTeller configuration file. You can also specify libraries that are automatically imported at start-up. See Editing the configuration file.

Note:

If you do not specify the explicit path to the executables in your script, the applications invoked by Python scripts must be stored in the following folder:

<StreamServe installation>\Services\StoryTeller\<version>\bin
