Default bi-directional text and glyph shaping
You can specify to allow bi-directional (BiDi) text and automatic shaping of Arabic glyphs, when entering new texts in a Document. Normally, Arabic text requires this, but if fast formatting is important, you have the possibility to leave this setting off.
To use bi-directional text and shaping by default
1
Select Tools > Options. The Options dialog opens.
2
Select Defaults > Paragraph.
3
Set BiDi and Shaping to Simple.
*
You can enable/disable bi-directional text and shaping for a specific paragraph in the Properties panel Paragraph category.
