Default text alignment
You can specify how new texts entered in the Document are aligned by default. New texts include texts in Stories, Text objects and table cells. By specifying left alignment, texts are aligned at the beginning of the line
as you write them. This means that for right-to-left texts, they are aligned to the right if you specify left alignment. For left-to-right texts, they are aligned to the left.
To set default text alignment

Select Tools > Options. The Options dialog opens.

Select Defaults > Paragraph.

Set the Default horizontal alignment to e.g. Align left.

You can specify the alignment for each paragraph in the Properties panel Paragraph style category, or by using the toolbar buttons:
