Resizing objects
Resizing a selected object horizontally or vertically
Note:
Resizing of a selected object from a corner point
Shift key + drag from a corner handle
Temporarily overrides the snap to grid setting. If the setting is off, snap to grid is active while holding down the Alt key, and vice versa.
Moves the corner and resizes the object from the center point in the direction you drag it, as well as in the opposite direction.
Note:
You can move the center of the object from which the proportional resizing takes place.

Moves the corner and resizes the object proportionally from the center point in the direction you drag it, as well as in the opposite direction.

Note:
Resizing cells in a table
The cell size is changed but not the total width or height of the table. Instead, the row or column adjacent to the resized row or column is resized accordingly.
