Resizing objects

Resizing a selected object horizontally or vertically

Shift key + arrow keys	Resize
Shift key + Alt key + arrow keys	Temporarily overrides the snap to grid setting. If the setting is off, snap to grid is active while pressing the Alt key, and vice versa. Toggles snap-to-grid when resizing selected objects.
Alt key + drag from edge handle	Temporarily overrides the snap to grid setting. If the setting is off, snap to grid is active while pressing the Alt key, and vice versa.
Ctrl key + drag from edge handle	Resizes the object in the direction you drag it, as well as in the opposite direction. Note: You can move the rotation point from which the proportional resizing takes place. (By default from the center of the object).

Alt, Shift, and Ctrl keys can be combined.

Resizing of a selected object from a corner point

Shift key + drag from a corner handle	Moves the corner and resizes the object proportionally in the direction you drag it.
Alt key + drag from a corner handle	Temporarily overrides the snap to grid setting. If the setting is off, snap to grid is active while holding down the Alt key, and vice versa.
Ctrl key + drag from a corner handle	Moves the corner and resizes the object from the center point in the direction you drag it, as well as in the opposite direction. Note: You can move the center of the object from which the proportional resizing takes place.
Ctrl key + Shift + drag from a corner handle	Moves the corner and resizes the object proportionally from the center point in the direction you drag it, as well as in the opposite direction. Note: You can move the center of the object from which the proportional resizing takes place.

Resizing cells in a table

Shift key + drag from a cell border	The cell size is changed but not the total width or height of the table. Instead, the row or column adjacent to the resized row or column is resized accordingly.
Alt key + drag from a cell border	Temporarily overrides the snap to grid setting. If the setting is off, snap to grid is active while holding down the Alt key, and vice versa.
