Starting and configuring the StoryTeller tool > Connecting to an OpenText Media Management repository > Connecting via authentication and TCP/IP values

Connecting via authentication and TCP/IP values
Instead of using a Media Management profile, you can manually specify user name, password, Media Management repository host and port for connecting to the Media Management repository.
This can be useful if you want to let the authentication (username/password or TCP/IP data (host/port) change depending on input data or execution context. For example, during runtime the StoryTeller Process can be invoked with specific user metadata for a specific job.
Note:
To connect via authentication and TCP/IP
You specify the connection in the Properties panel, Image properties.
You can either specify the connection:
In the Image URI property, as part of the entire URI.
In the Connection property.
You must specify the connection (either as part of the Image URI property, or the Connection property) as in the following:
<authentication>@<tcp/ip connection>
Note:
If you specify a value in the Connection property, the Image URI property will include this value.
Example 11
Connection property:
my_username.my_password@otmmhost:8090

Image URI property:
otmm://my_username.my_password@otmmhost:8090/?id=f2bf827a69....

*
By setting a modification on the Image URI or Connection property, you can make the connection dynamic during runtime.
Note:
If you want to set a modification on the Connection property, you must first add an image using a Media Management profile.
