Starting and configuring the StoryTeller tool > Changing the default session cache size

Changing the default session cache size
You can specify how many StoryTeller Process definitions (SSD files) are simultaneously stored in the cache memory. This can be useful if you dynamically select layouts (e.g. StoryTeller documents stored in the resource set). For example, if three layouts are dynamically selected for a specific Process, setting Session cache size to three may provide optimal processing performance.
For static references to layouts, one SSD file is stored at a time in the cache by default
For variable references, the layouts are reloaded at each invoke of the Process by default, i.e no SSD file stored in the cache.
The defaults are used if you leave the Session cache size field empty.
To specify session cache size
1
Select File > Processing Properties > General.
2
In the Session cache size field, enter a value.
