Unicode character replacements
In some fonts, certain Unicode characters are not available. To avoid a missing character symbol in the output, StoryTeller automatically checks if the required glyphs of the character are available in the used font. If not, an alternative character or no character is rendered according to tables below.
The characters that can be substituted are available from the Insert > Special Characters dialog.
Note:
The "Left-to-right" / "Right-to-left" / Pop directional characters are only available if you specify Use text direction controls in the Tools > Options dialog, General settings. EN quad / EM quad are never displayed in the Special Characters dialog.
