Running I/O Delegator in HTTP mode

To run I/O delegator in HTTP mode you must:

•	Create an HTTP input Connector.

•	Create an HTTP response output Connector.

•	Configure the HTTP input Connector, see To configure the HTTP input connector.

•	Start I/O Delegator.

To configure the HTTP input connector

1	Open the Input Connector Settings dialog box for the HTTP connector.

2	Click Queue.

3	From the Queue drop-down list, select Input.

4	Click Connector.

5	Enter a Job resource URI. This identifies the resource where jobs should be sent, for example /

If you want to run I/O Delegator with authentication, you must

6	In the Authentication field, select Basic.

7	Click HTTP Realms and add an HTTP realm.

To start I/O Delegator in HTTP mode in Windows

1	Open a command prompt and browse to the directory where strsIoDelegator.exe is located.

2	Enter the following command:

StrsIODelegator -httpmode <argument2>...<argumentN>.

Note:

If you have specified HTTP authentication for the Connector, you must specify a user name, password and realm by using the user, pwd and realm arguments. See HTTP mode arguments

You can use either of the following methods to specify arguments for I/O Delegator:

•	Enter the arguments directly on the command line.

•	Enter the arguments in a file and specifying this file as an argument.

Note:

If you specify the same argument more than once with different options, only the last argument will be used.

Example 3

Starting I/O Delegator in HTTP mode in Windows

In this example you start I/O Delegator specifying the following:

•

HTTP mode

•	A reference to the file containing one or more URLs for StreamServer

•	Log level 4

•	Verbose level 2

•	An XML file that will be converted by StreamServer to a PDF file.

StrsIODelegator -httpmode -urlf ./urlfile.txt -ll 4 -verbose 2 <./grb/filein.xml >./iodelout/fileout.pdf

 

To start I/O Delegator in HTTP mode in UNIX

1	Open a command prompt and browse to the directory where strsIoDelegator.exe is located.

2	Enter the following command:

./StreamServe StrsIODelegator -httpmode <argument2>...<argumentN>.
