Creating a release

When you create a release, the Project is exported, all Project files are checked in, and the export file is added to CVS in the same folder as the Project.

The export generates a file (*.export) that contains all the Platform layers in the Project. You can also include the DCPACKAGE file in the export file.

When you deploy the Project in Control Center, you must connect to the VCS, and specify which physical layer to deploy.

To create a release

1	Click File > Version Control > Create Release.

2	In the Create Release dialog box, select the Platform to export.

3	Enter the appropriate comment.

4	Do one of the following:

–	Click Get labels, and select a label from the Label list.

–	Enter a label.

5	Select the version number for the release.

6	Optionally, select DCPackage file in export.
