Deploying a web application to an open environment
To deploy a web application, you must first add the web application to the Web Applications folder and then connect the web application to the application domains to be accessed from the web application.
Adding a web application
Prerequisites
The management gateway that will deploy the WAR files must have:

Not be the word applications.
To add a web application

Right-click the Web Applications folder and select New Web Application.

In the New Web Application dialog box, select the type of web application.

In the Portal root box, enter the path to the directory on the Java application server to which the WAR files will be deployed. For example, for Apache Tomcat:
<TOMCAT_HOME>\webapps\

Click OK. The management gateway copies the WAR files to the portal root.

For information about how to unpack WAR files, see the user documentation for the Java application server. For Apache Tomcat, the files may be unpacked automatically if you restart the Apache Tomcat service.

Connecting the web application to an application domain
Prerequisites
To connect the web application to an application domain

In the Web Applications folder, right-click the web application and select Link Application Domain.

In the Available Application Domains area, select the application domain to which you want to connect the web application.
