New Web Application dialog box

The New Web Application dialog box is used to add a new StreamServe web application to the Web Applications folder. The web application is then available to all application domains at the site.

Setting	Description
Web application type	The type of the web application to be deployed. For example, StreamStudio.
Name	A name for the web application. The name must: • Only include ASCII characters (a-z, A-Z, 0-9). • Not include any white spaces. • Be unique if you deploy several web applications to the same Java application server. • Not be the word applications.
Description	A description of the web application.
Application host	The host name or IP address of the computer with the management gateway that will deploy the WAR (web application archive) files for the web application. Note: The management gateway must have read access to the installation folder containing the WAR files.
Manual deploy	Select this option if you run in an isolated environment. Destination folder – The following temporary directory to which the WAR files will be deployed: <Base directory>\<Version>\root\etc\unmanagedportals Where <Base directory> is the path specified for the StreamServe Projects during the Framework and StreamServer installation. For example, C:\ManagementGateway When the Control Center configuration is completed, you must manually copy the WAR files and the corresponding folders to the Java application server.
Portal root	The directory on the Java application server to which the WAR files will be deployed. For example, for Apache Tomcat: <TOMCAT_HOME>\webapps\ You can specify a directory on a remote computer using a UNC (Uniform Naming Convention) path. Note: The management gateway must have write access to the Portal root.
