Setting up a Media Management connection profile

Prerequisites

•	The connection information (URL, port, log in details, etc.) for the Media Management repository must be available.

Media Management connection profile naming limitations

•	The name should be descriptive because it is displayed in Composition Center.

•	The name must be unique.

•	The name can only include the following characters:

a-z

–

0-9

–	"-" (hyphen)

Uppercase letters (A-Z) are replaced with lowercase letters (a-z) in the URI and when displayed in Composition Center. All other characters are replaced by "-" (hyphen).

To set up a Media Management connection profile

1	In the Control Center tree view, right-click the Repositories node and click New Repository.

2	In the Type drop-down list, click Media Management repository.

3	Enter a name and description for the repository and click OK.

4	On the Profile Configuration Editor, change the name of the Media Management connection profile.

5	Set up the URL, port, and recovery options. For detailed information about the options, see Media Management connection profiles in the Profile configurations documentation.

6	On the Authentication profile list, click <Create new>.

7	Configure the log in details (user name and password).

8	If required, secure the Media Management connection profile. See Securing the Media Management connection profile below.
