Configuring startup options for a service

You can specify startup method and logon options for the service.

1	Right-click the service and select Service Startup. The Service Startup Configuration dialog box opens.

2	Specify the options and click OK.

 

Startup options
Startup method	Automatic – Starts the service automatically when the system (host for the corresponding service) starts. Manual – Starts the service manually. Disabled – Disables the service.
Log on as	System account – Runs the service under the local system account. With this option you can also enable the service to send messages to your desktop. This account – Specifies the user name and password for another account, and runs the service under this account.
