Precedence of metadata

If you specify the same property (document name, folder ID, allow multiple versions, etc) in more than one place, the order of precedence is:

1	Value specified with Enterprise Library metadata.

2	Value specified in the Enterprise Library archive filter.

3	Value specified in Control Center.

Metadata	Description
StrsElsSystemContentType	The content type of the document. This determines which viewer Content Server uses to display the document. Enterprise Library must support the content type and it must be specified in MIME format. You can also specify the content type in the following ways: • In the Document Type and Metadata Mapping dialog box in Control Center • In the Enterprise Library archive filter If you do not specify the content type in one of these places, the Driver Device setting from the output connector is used.
StrsElsSystemDescription	A document description. You can use a variable. You can also specify this in the Enterprise Library archive filer.
StrsElsSystemDocumentName	The document name, which is often used as the display name in Content Server. You can use a variable. This name must be unique for each document, unless the option Allow multiple versions is set. This must be specified using this metadata or in the Enterprise Library archive filter.
StrsElsSystemFolderId	The ID of the Enterprise Library folder that you want to store the documents in. The folder ID must exist in Enterprise Library. For information about creating folders in Content Server, see the online help accessible from Content Server. The Folder ID must be specified in one of the following ways: • By using this metadata • In the Enterprise Library archive filter • In the Document Type and Metadata Mapping dialog box in Control Center
StrsElsSystemItemId	The document ID in Enterprise Library. You can use a variable.
StrsElsSystemMultipleVersions	Enables Content Server and Archive Server to store multiple documents with the same name. By default, this is false. This means if a StreamServe application tries to store a document with a name that already exists in Enterprise Library, the job fails. You can also enable this option in the following ways: • In the Enterprise Library archive filter • In the Document Type and Metadata Mapping dialog box in Control Center
