Modifying the document type

Document types used in Composition Center are stored in the enterprise repository and in the runtime repository. The enterprise repository contains the master document types.

Modified document types

When you redeploy a Project, Control Center compares the document types within the updated Project to the master document types in the enterprise repository. The impact control is performed for the complete application domain, regardless whether the Project is redeployed to the same StreamServer application or deployed to a new StreamServer application.

Note:

The Project version is not considered in the impact control of the document types.

If the updated Project contains modified document types, the Compare Document Types tool tool opens in Control Center, informing about any required actions in the repositories.

Warnings in Composition Center

When the business user logs in to Composition Center, warnings are displayed and a report is created that lists the affected resources and document definitions.
