Modifications and template versions The type of modification done to the StoryTeller document decides whether the template version is increased. Note: If you increase the Project version, the versions of all StoryTeller templates included in the Project are automatically increased. For more information about this scenario, see Deploying a new version of the Project. StoryTeller modifications affecting the template If you update the StoryTeller document in a way that affects the actual template, the template version is automatically increased. For example, the following changes result in an increased template version: • Renaming a section. • Adding or deleting a new section. • Moving a section to another page. • Modifying the size of the section placeholder (that is, a StoryTeller text object or a story frame). • Modifying the size of a page. • Adding or removing pages from the document. • Adding or deleting an exposed story. StoryTeller modifications not affecting the template If you update the StoryTeller document in a way that does not affect the actual template, the template version is not increased. For example, if you update a text in the StoryTeller document or if you add a new field from the Event configuration. You can delete, rename, or add fields in the Event configuration without affecting the template version. However, if you delete or rename a field that is already used in StoryTeller, you must open and update the StoryTeller document accordingly. If not, the output documents will be corrupt.
