Document metadata in Composer In Composer, document metadata is used: • To personalize texts, for example, to include customer names in texts. • As conditions for rules, for example, to use a country code as a condition for importing a specific text in an area. • As sample data when previewing output documents. To make document metadata available in Composer, you must configure the following in the Design Center Project: • Document type types and metadata in a resource set. See Document types and metadata documentation. • Configure document type for the Message. See Configuring document type for the Message. Metadata value lists To simplify the use of metadata in Composer, you can provide users with lists of selectable metadata values. The lists are available when users set up conditions for rules and sample data for document preview. See Creating metadata value lists.
