Creating data templates for non-Message data

When you work with other data sources than Message structures defined in an Event, i.e. where the data source is some arbitrary XML not provided by a StreamServer application, there are no built-in StoryTeller tool that you can use to copy the structure of the input data.

In a case like this you can import a data template sample file (see Importing a data template) or create the data template from scratch. When you have created the template you can define the data transformation for it (see Defining transformations for non-Message data).
