Using bullets and numbering

You can create a bullet list or numbered list of the paragraph(s). Numbering can be one-level or multilevel.

To create a number or bullet list

1	Click in a paragraph, or select one or more paragraphs.

2	Select Format > Bullets and Numbering and the type of list. Or, use one of the predefined lists from the Bullets or Numbering toolbar galleries.

You can define your own bullets and numbering types in the following file:

3	For multi-level numbering, you must set the appropriate list level for each paragraph. See List level.

The text is indented to the right of the bullets or numbers according to the Tab - default indentation value in the Properties panel Paragraph Style category. To change the indentation manually, select the paragraphs and move the Hanging indent in the ruler to the desired position.
