You can use the pan tool to move around in the Document, Page, and Story Views instead of using the scroll bars.
 Double-click the Pan tool toolbar button to make it permanent. Press Esc key to cancel panning. |

Without using the toolbar button you can press the Space key and pan in the document. If you just press Space key and do no panning the current view is scrolled to the bottom. By pressing Shift and Space keys the current view is scrolled to the top.
