Adding an image from an OpenText Media Management repository

You can add images directly from a Media Management repository. These images are linked to the document from the repository, and not embedded. To browse and select images available in a Media Management repository, you must first connect to the repository. See Connecting to an OpenText Media Management repository.

Once you are connected, the Insert Image dialog contains an icon representing the Media Management repository:

 

Images in a Media Management repository can be imported to a Design Center resource set. You can then embed these images to the StoryTeller document just like any other image. See the Design Center documentation.

To add an image from a Media Management repository

1	Right-click in the Document, Page, or Story view where you want to add the object.

2	Select Insert > Image.

3	In he Insert Image dialog, click the OTMM icon.

4	If you run StoryTeller in stand-alone mode, you may have several connections available. Select the appropriate Media Management profile from the Look in: drop-down list.

5	Browse to and select the image to insert. The image properties can be edited in the Properties panel. See Image properties.

• The next time you insert an image, the same folder is displayed directly. • You can use wildcards to filter out specific images in the Image selection dialog. For example: my_images_*.* *.jpg

To select a specific version of a Media Management image

1	Select the image.

2	In the Properties panel, in the Image category, select version from the Version drop-down list.

3	Press F5 to update the image.

To always use the latest available version of the image during runtime, select Use latest version.
