Connecting to an OpenText Media Management repositoryTo reference images from a Media Management repository you must be connected to the repository.Normally you use a Media Management profile of Media Management type to connect. This connection is performed differently depending on how you run StoryTellerYou also have the option to connect by specifying authentication and TCP/IP values. See Connecting via authentication and TCP/IP values.
In case an Media Management repository could not be reached from Design center, StoryTeller or preview in Composition Center, there are time-out values specified in repositoryotmm.xml located in the following folder:<StreamServe installation>\Platform\Core\1.5\bin\This file contains default time-out values – that you can modify as required – for connection, data, and slow transfer:<connectiontimeout> – Time-out covering the actual creation of the connection. Default value 4000 ms.<slowtransfertimeout> – Time-out covering the data travel time across the network and the server latency. Default value 5000 ms.<datatimeout> – Time-out covering the download of the whole asset and is used to avoid that very large OTMM assets causes the server or the user interface to stop responding. Default value 30000 ms.
Note: The retries values you specify in the connection profile can significantly affect the time-out.
