Map functions

Maps are used for keeping lookup values that are relevant only per job. They are similar to substitution tables (see Substitution table functions), with the following exceptions:

•	Maps are only created and used in scripts.

•	Since maps are not shared between jobs, you can use identical map names in several jobs and have different keys and values in each individual map.

•	Maps are automatically cleared and removed at job end.

•	You cannot serialize maps to disk.

Function name	Description
AddMap	Adds a value to a column in a map entry.
DelMapKey	Deletes an entry from a map.
EraseMap	Removes a map from memory.
GetMap	Returns a value from a map entry.
SetMap	Assigns a value to an entry in a map.
