Setting up a web service connection profile for EasyLink

EasyLink user name and password

You need your EasyLink user name and password to set up the connection profile.

To set up a web service connection profile

1	In the resource set, add a new Web service profile resource.

2	Open the web service profile resource and enter a name.

3	On the Profile sub-type list, click EasyLink.

4	Enter the URL for EasyLink.

5	Specify the recovery actions.

6	On the Authentication profile list, click <Create new...>, and enter your EasyLink user name and password.

7	On the Secure channel profile list, click the secure channel profile you set up previously. For information about setting this up, see Setting up HTTPS communication with EasyLink.

8	Optionally, enter the EasyLink proxy host and port.

EasyLink Web service profile property descriptions

Property	Description
Name	The name of the connection profile cannot include underscore characters ("_") and must be unique in the application domain where the StreamServe application will run.
Profile sub-type	EasyLink
URL	The URL to EasyLink. Example: https://messagingeu.easylink.com/soap/sync For US customers, the corresponding URL is: https://messaging.easylink.com/soap/sync
Attempt recovery	Specifies whether StreamServe software should try to reconnect to EasyLink if it does not respond. • Never – StreamServe software does not try to reconnect. • Limited times – StreamServe software tries to reconnect a limited number of times. • Forever – StreamServe software tries to reconnect forever.
Number of Retries	Applicable if Attempt recovery = Limited times. The number of times StreamServe software should try to reconnect if the computer does not respond.
Retry Interval	Applicable if Attempt recovery = Limited times or Forever. The interval (seconds) between retries.
Authentication profile	Select the authentication profile to use.
Secure channel profile	Select the secure channel profile to use. For information about setting up a secure channel profile, see Creating a Secure channel profile resource.
Proxy host	Optional. The host name or IP address of the proxy host.
Proxy port	Optional. The proxy port number.
Proxy username	Optional. A username for authenticating to the proxy host.
Proxy password	Optional. A password for authenticating to the proxy host.
Connect timeout	The connection timeout for the web service.
Request time-out	The time the StreamServe application waits for a response from the web service.
