E-Invoice Center logon credentials

The signing and validation filters use customer-specific logon credentials to log on to the TrustWeaver On Demand service. The same logon credentials are also used by the Archiver application if archive time-stamping is used.

The logon credentials consist of a private key and a client authentication certificate, contained within an encrypted file (for example *.p12 or *.pfx). A password is required to decrypt the file and use the logon credentials. The logon credentials are created by TrustWeaver.

Before you configure the Design Center Project, you must acquire two sets of logon credentials:

•	Test service logon credentials – Used during the development and testing phases.

•	Production service logon credentials – Used during the production phase to create legal e-invoices.

Note:

The procedure of creating and activating logon credentials is time consuming and may take several days in account.

 

Protecting logon credentials and passwords The logon credentials and passwords grant access to the outsourced signing capabilities of the customer (the Seller). In the incorrect hands, the credentials can be used to create false e-invoices that look as if they are issued by the customer. The customer is responsible for the logon credentials. By giving you access to the credentials, the customer extends this responsibility to you. It is the responsibility of the customer to distribute the logon credentials to you in a secure manner. You must protect the logon credentials properly. For example, the credentials should never leave the customer’s premises and the passwords should never be written down without being destroyed. Avoid making copies of both logon credentials and passwords and destroy any copies immediately. Make sure that no unauthorized personnel have access to the environments where you develop, export, deploy, and run the E-Invoice Center Project.
