Enterprise Repository Configurations dialog box

The Enterprise Repository Configurations dialog box is used to edit the database settings for the StreamServe Enterprise Repository and the connection settings to access the enterprise repository.

Note:

The Database name/Service name (SID), User name, and Password settings must follow the naming standards of the database server. Contact your database administrator for more information.

Setting	Description
Database vendor	Microsoft SQL Server
Host name	The IP address or host name of the database server. Note: If you use a named instance of SQL Server, you must specify the host name and instance name using the syntax <hostname>\<instancename>. For example: gbg5000\instance1
Port	The port used for communication with the database server (by default, 1433).
Database name	A name for the enterprise repository.
User name	The data administration user that the management gateway uses to connect to the enterprise repository. The user is automatically created when the enterprise repository is created. Note: You cannot use the system administrator as user name (for example, sa).
Password	The password to access the enterprise repository.

Setting	Description
Database vendor	Oracle
Host name	The IP address or host name of the database server.
Port	The port used for communication with the database server (by default 1521).
Service name (SID)	A name for the enterprise repository.
User name	The data administration user that the management gateway uses to connect to the enterprise repository. The setting is also used as schema owner. The user is automatically created when the enterprise repository is created. Note: You cannot use the system administrator as user name.
Password	The password to access the enterprise repository.
