Setting up the ELS archive filter

If you want to use the ELS archive filter to store documents, you must add and configure the filter in the resource set.

To set up an ELS archive filter

1	In the resource set, add a new ELS Archive Filter to a filter chain.

2	Configure the filter settings, see ELS Archive Filter settings.

Note:

If the same option is specified in the archive filter and using metadata, the value from the metadata is used.

ELS Archive Filter settings

The settings are described in the table below.

Parameter	Description
Content Server folder ID	The ID of the folder in Content Server where you want to store the documents. This folder ID must exist in Content Server. For information about creating folders in Content Server, see the online help accessible from Content Server. If you leave this blank, you must specify the folder ID in one of the following ways: • By using the metadata StrsElsSystemFolderId • In the Document Type and Metadata Mapping dialog box in Control Center
Document name	The document name, which is often used as the display name in Content Server. You can use a variable. This name must be unique for each document, unless the option Allow multiple versions is set. If you leave this blank, you must specify the document name using the metadata StrsElsSystemDisplayName.
Description	A document description. You can use a variable. This parameter is optional. It can also be specified using the metadata StrsElsSystemDescription
Content type	The content type of the document. This determines which viewer Content Server uses to display the document. You can use a variable. Enterprise Library must support the content type and it must be specified in MIME format. This parameter is optional. It can also be specified in the following ways: • By using the metadata StrsElsSystemContentType • In the Document Type and Metadata Mapping dialog box in Control Center If you do not specify the content type in one of these places, the Driver Device setting from output connector is used.
Allow multiple versions	Enables Content Server to store multiple documents with the same name. By default, this is false, which means if a StreamServe application tries to store a document with a name that already exists in Content Server, the job will fail. This is optional, it can also be specified in the following ways: • By using the metadata StrsElsSystemMultipleVersions • In the Document Type and Metadata Mapping dialog box in Control Center
